This is my friend Nat’s truck, known as Pantelitsa. She originally had a sorry little cardboard sign welcoming passengers and I wanted to jazz it up as a gift. Here is the result.
This is hands down, the cosiest, loveliest cafe out there. At the golden hour the street turns a brilliant dorado, reflecting off the pavement and glinting off the cars going by. Coffee is wonderful, staff are delightful, sandwiches are great, such a beautiful place. Thank you to Bendita Cafe. El café ayuda a quién duerme poco y sueña mucho Coffee helps those who sleep little and dream a lot
Out of all the beaches in Puerto Escondido, Bacocho beach has among the best sunsets. The blur tool is among the best tool for creating clouds. Chill-a-Kill restaurant has among the best fish tacos.
Bacons , the name of a cottage in the new forest, also known among my family as The Cottage . It was on this lawn aged 12 I smashed a red swing ball racket on my sister’s head in rage, and also where at the precipice of each summer we would all hunt for the hole where the clothes line pictured slots into. Recently my dad got a weed burner, and singed the grass around it, so nowadays it’s easy to find the hole.
Bit weird. So I went to the Centro Cultural San Pablo in Oaxaca city. There was a really wonderful exhibition based around birds. With various different artists interpreting the theme. There was one model of a girl with an owl for a head. I started drawing it from a picture I took, and this just came out. For some reason it reminded me of the ‘God I’m so bloody blonde sometimes’ meme (which I had presumed was actually some Lichtenstein era pop art type thing, but it’s not apparently). I couldn’t remember there was ‘God’ at the beginning of the ‘original’, but hey.
